Technical Product Marketing Manager, Developer Growth
Job description
About the role
You define the developer path for Phoenix, shaping how engineers discover, adopt, and sustain their work with Arize tools. You operate at the junction of product marketing, developer experience, and open-source growth. Your focus is driving measurable improvements in developer activation, engagement, and expansion. Success will appear as faster integrations, broader usage, and stronger mindshare across the developer community. You will translate complex product capabilities into clear narratives that help technical audiences understand how to derive value quickly. This role requires empathy for the developer workflow and the ability to connect product features to real-world outcomes. You will serve as a voice for the developer within the company, ensuring that go-to-market strategies reflect the realities of building with AI systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
Define and own key metrics across the developer journey, tracking awareness, adoption, activation, engagement, and qualified conversion signals from Phoenix into AX where relevant. You will establish guardrails and dashboards that surface trends in how developers interact with the platform.
Probe the OSS, cloud, and self-serve experiences to locate friction points. You will partner with product and engineering to design and test improvements that reduce effort and increase clarity.
Run structured experiments to enhance onboarding, activation, and expansion for Phoenix and related product flows. You will prioritize high-impact opportunities and measure outcomes to guide future iterations.
Own messaging and positioning for Phoenix and self-serve AX across technical and executive audiences. You will craft narratives that resonate with distinct audiences and use cases.
Clarify how Phoenix and Arize AX work together within evaluation, observability, and agent engineering ecosystems. You will explain the role of each product and how they support teams at different maturity stages.
Coordinate launch activities for major Phoenix releases to support timing and narrative clarity. You will align content, demos, and go-to-market materials to ensure consistent messaging.
Create guides that support first use, activation, and production readiness based on real workflows. These guides will help developers move from initial setup to reliable, scaled usage.
Use AI-native workflows to monitor ecosystem signals, synthesize feedback, and accelerate shipping. You will use these workflows to turn insights into action quickly.
Requirements
You define and own key metrics that span discovery to qualified conversion between Phoenix and AX. You will establish the indicators that show whether your efforts are driving meaningful adoption.
You identify friction points across experiences and team up with product to remove them. Your work will reduce complexity and improve the developer journey.
You build and iterate on content that supports first use, activation, and production readiness. This includes documentation, guides, and examples that are practical and clear.
You write from hands-on product usage and deep technical understanding. Your background in real-world usage ensures that your content is accurate and useful.
You operate with a bias toward iteration, experimentation, and measurable outcomes. You test ideas, learn quickly, and refine based on data.
You collaborate with engineering and product to translate technical concepts into developer-facing narratives that are precise and actionable.
You work asynchronously across distributed teams, aligning stakeholders through clear written communication and structured documentation.
You contribute to the broader developer community by sharing insights that help others succeed with AI observability and evaluation tooling.
