What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients and internal teams.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate cloud services into applications, ensuring seamless deployment and operation.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of cloud resources to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and manage security best practices within cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts, providing expertise and guidance during critical situations.
• Document operational procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training within the team.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance our services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud services.
• Engage with vendors and service providers to evaluate new tools and technologies that can enhance our cloud operations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud operations or a related field, with a strong focus on infrastructure management.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their services and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, VPNs, and firewalls, as they relate to cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
