Senior Product Manager
Job description
About the role
Processing Product Leadership at Arcadia
Arcadia operates as a global utility data and energy solutions platform, managing approximately $35 billion in annual customer utility bill volume across more than 1,000 enterprise clients. The organization leverages its data platform, AI-powered analytics, industry expertise, and partner network to deliver solutions spanning carbon, cost, and reliability management throughout the enterprise energy lifecycle. The Processing domain within Expense Management ingests clean bill data from Arcadia's utility data platform, Plug, and converts this information into validated, actionable payables. Currently, a significant portion of the processing volume relies on a mature, service-intensive operation, including capabilities developed through past acquisitions. This function is staffed by analysts and operational teams focused on transforming legacy technology and human-in-the-loop service delivery through new technology, with an emphasis on AI integrated to optimize processes utilizing existing talent. Addressing enterprise customer challenges demands innovative thinking and diverse perspectives. Individuals passionate about accelerating clean, cost-effective energy solutions are encouraged to contribute their unique strengths.
Role Expectations
The position requires a product leader proficient in both service operations and technology product management to fully own the Processing domain. This leader will define and execute the roadmap for normalizing and validating bill data at scale, leading the transformation of a labor-intensive, legacy processing environment into an AI- and automation-first operation. Understanding customer requirements and market competition will directly inform this roadmap to succeed in the current market.
This role involves owning service labor optimization as a primary product responsibility. The leader must identify where manual bill entry, credential handling, and exception review increase costs and introduce errors, then systematically replace these functions with AI extraction, agentic automation, and modern tooling. The target outcomes include a reduced cost per processed bill, healthier margins, and pricing strategies that enable more competitive market positioning.
Core Responsibilities
Bill data normalization and validation form a primary focus. The leader will own the roadmap for converting raw bill data delivered by Plug into clean, structured payables, collaborating with the data platform team on upstream data-quality improvements. Service labor optimization requires partnering with Operations leadership managing tariff analysts, manual bill entry, and credential handling teams to map current labor-intensive workflows, quantify associated costs and error rates, and prioritize automation opportunities. Driving AI and agentic automation adoption across a legacy, service-heavy ecosystem is essential to reduce manual reliance while maintaining or enhancing accuracy. Defining and managing tolerancing rules and exception-handling logic for various providers will decrease the volume of bills requiring manual review. The leader must also construct the business case linking automation investments to cost-per-bill-processed improvements and translate margin gains into competitive go-to-market pricing and packaging. Planning and sequencing the migration of processing workflows from legacy and acquired systems onto modern, automation-first tooling without disrupting live customer operations is critical. Ensuring that clean outputs from Processing reliably support Payments is mandatory to protect downstream transactions and customer retention. Finally, maintaining a prioritized roadmap with clear epics, timelines, and OKR traceability, while representing Processing in cross-functional planning with Commercial, Operations, and R&D, completes the core duties.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate fluency in both service operations and product management to own end-to-end Processing results. The ability to translate customer needs and competitive insights into a winning market roadmap is mandatory. A deep understanding of where manual effort, credential management, and exception review add cost and risk is required. Driving AI extraction and agentic automation that reduces cost per bill while safeguarding accuracy is essential. Defining provider-specific tolerancing and exception-handling rules to minimize manual review volume is a necessary capability.
Compensation and Location
This is a full-time position located in the United States. The compensation package offers a salary range of $185,000 to $230,000 annually.
