AI Operations Lead
Job description
About the role
You own the definition and execution of AI transformation across Arcadia by acting as the product owner for AI workflows and agent design. You will translate messy operational realities into scalable AI workflows that reduce manual effort and drive consistent, repeatable outcomes. You will establish the standards, patterns, and documentation that allow successful AI experiments to compound and scale across product, engineering, and operations. You will partner directly with cross-functional teams to discover opportunities, scope Claude skills and agents, and convert early pilots into company-wide workflows. You will measure the real impact of each workflow on time saved and process reliability, ensuring only those that deliver durable value move forward. You will build and nurture a champion network that sustains adoption and continuously improves the AI operating model.
Key facts
What you'll do
Define and own the end-to-end roadmap for AI skills, agents, and workflows in collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams.
Partner with engineering to translate requirements into buildable AI agent designs and integration patterns that are reliable, testable, and maintainable.
Lead scoping sessions that clarify problem statements, success metrics, and constraints before any model or workflow is implemented.
Establish and maintain clear standards for prompt architecture, tool use, guardrails, error handling, and observability across all AI workflows.
Work with product and operations to identify high-leverage processes that are repetitive, rule-based, or data-heavy and suitable for automation.
Define and track adoption metrics such as usage rate, completion rate, and time saved to determine whether workflows deliver real value to users.
Create reusable templates and documentation that allow other teams to build, deploy, and iterate on AI workflows without constant re-architecture.
Coordinate with finance and operations to validate that automated decisions align with billing, procurement, and compliance requirements.
Build and sustain a network of internal champions who test, provide feedback, and advocate for AI workflows across their teams.
Continuously iterate on existing workflows based on user feedback, monitoring data, and changes in upstream systems or regulations.
Evaluate new model capabilities and tool integrations, then determine where they meaningfully improve outcomes versus existing solutions.
Maintain a clear backlog of AI workflow opportunities, prioritized by impact, feasibility, and dependency complexity.
Run lightweight experiments to de-risk assumptions, then scale successful patterns into production-grade implementations.
Synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative metrics into narratives that explain how AI workflows change how teams work.
Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders seeking to understand, propose, or modify AI workflows.
Requirements
You must have experience working with AI agents and workflow automation tools, including designing or implementing agent-based systems.
You must be comfortable reading and interpreting technical documentation for APIs, data schemas, and integration patterns.
You must have a strong track record of turning ambiguous problems into clearly scoped and executable workstreams.
You must be fluent in writing clear requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering and product teams.
You must have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, finance, and operations.
You must be able to map end-to-end processes and identify where automation can create reliable, measurable value.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to align stakeholders with differing perspectives and priorities.
You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities evolve as the business does.
You must be based in the United States and eligible to work in the country without sponsorship at this time.
Nice to have
Experience with Claude skills, agents, and the Anthos or Google Cloud environments is preferred.
Experience in energy, sustainability, or enterprise software is a plus.
Experience building and scaling internal platforms or tooling is strongly preferred.
Practical notes
