Analyst, Risk Management
Job description
About the role
Risk Management Analyst
Location: USA
Engagement: Full-Time
Compensation: $72,000 USD Base Salary
The role of Risk Management Analyst at APCO Holdings centers on safeguarding the integrity of our vehicle protection portfolios while enabling data-driven decision-making for our dealership network. You will own the design of intake procedures, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and verified before any quantitative analysis commences, which establishes a critical foundation for maintaining data integrity and accuracy. A core function involves constructing monitoring frameworks where you will organize records, implement business rules, and refresh data structures to track essential performance indicators over time, allowing for proactive risk oversight and timely intervention. Quality assurance is a key discipline in this position; you will systematically review analytical outputs to confirm they meet business expectations, and when discrepancies are identified, you will refine logic and methodologies to ensure results adhere strictly to defined constraints and definitions. Cross-functional collaboration is essential as you will coordinate with technology teams to manage update schedules, validate system configurations, and confirm that tools operate precisely according to agreed-upon workflows and regulatory standards. To ensure continuous improvement of processes and outcomes, you will establish formal review checkpoints where findings will be examined, questions explored, and refinements documented for application in future analysis cycles, creating a culture of learning and precision. Internal and external communication is a regular duty where you will prepare clear summaries for shipping activities, highlight significant changes in risk exposure, and confirm that all deliverables reach stakeholders on schedule, maintaining transparency and trust. Relationship management will extend directly to our dealership partners, and you will initiate conversations to clarify needs, confirm priorities, and align proposed risk solutions with their strategic objectives, ensuring that our protections enhance rather than hinder their growth. Finally, you will maintain rigorous standards through meticulous documentation by preserving detailed notes and recording methods, which will enable consistent handling of similar cases in the future and support organizational knowledge retention and scalability.
Requirements
To be considered for this Risk Management Analyst role, you must hold a minimum of three years of professional experience in risk management, compliance, or related functions within a regulated industry, providing the necessary context for evaluating vehicle protection portfolios effectively and responsibly. You must demonstrate exceptional proficiency with data management tools, automation software, and platforms used for clear reporting, as comfort with these technologies is non-negotiable for success in this fast-paced environment and daily operational demands. Exceptional communication skills are required, and you must be able to articulate complex findings clearly in writing and speaking, adjusting your language for different audiences, whether presenting to executive leadership or training frontline dealership staff. Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship is mandatory for this position, and only candidates who meet this requirement will be able to proceed through the application and interview process. A strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting are essential, as the accuracy of risk assessments directly impacts partner confidence and business decisions. You should possess a foundational understanding of financial controls and internal audit principles to effectively monitor and report on potential vulnerabilities within the portfolio. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while still collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders is critical for maintaining momentum and ensuring project deadlines are met consistently. A commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with all applicable regulations is expected in every interaction and analysis you perform on behalf of the company and its partners.
Nice to have
Candidates with prior experience in automotive finance, insurance, or dealership environments will be viewed favorably, as this specific exposure provides a valuable understanding of the dealer landscape, operational pressures, and customer expectations. Familiarity with the unique risks associated with vehicle protection products, warranty structures, and aftermarket services will allow you to ask more insightful questions and contribute to more nuanced analysis from your first week. Experience working with SQL databases and building custom queries to extract, transform, and load data will significantly accelerate your ability to support ad hoc requests and deep-dive investigations. Comfort using Microsoft Power BI to build monitoring views and visualizations that tell a clear story about risk trends will help you communicate insights more effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Any background in developing and monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) will be an asset as you help the organization maintain a clear view of portfolio health and emerging threats. Candidates who have worked closely with compliance frameworks or regulatory reporting requirements will understand the importance of documentation and controls, which supports efficient audits and smooth partner reviews. Exposure to CRM or dealership management systems is preferred, as it will enable you to integrate data sources more seamlessly and provide more context during relationship discussions.
What you'll do
This is a full-time position based in Norcross, Georgia, and the schedule reflects standard business hours with the expectation of availability during core operational windows. Travel is not currently required for this role, allowing you to focus your efforts on analysis, system configuration, and stakeholder engagement from your designated workspace. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, and this requirement will be verified as part of the hiring process before any offer is extended. Please ensure that your application materials clearly demonstrate your qualifications against the outlined requirements, as incomplete or unclear submissions may delay review or disqualify candidates from further consideration.
