General Program Manager
Job description
General Program Manager at Ansible Health.
About the role
Ansible Health is searching for a sharp, driven, and adaptable General Program Manager to steer complex initiatives spanning clinical operations, technology, and general business functions. This position demands a self-starter who excels in a high-velocity, ambiguous Series A startup environment backed by top-tier investors like Bessemer and First Round Capital. You will own the full project lifecycle, from strategic definition and governance setup to execution monitoring and stakeholder reporting. The role requires a blend of intellectual horsepower, organizational rigor, and a genuine passion for leveraging technology to improve chronic disease outcomes. Success hinges on your ability to navigate shifting priorities, manage cross-functional dependencies, and build scalable processes from the ground up.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own the strategy and end-to-end execution for critical programs across Ansible Health's clinical operations, technology division, and general business operations, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership.
- Independently drive projects through the complete lifecycle - initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure - balancing clinical requirements, operational constraints, and technical feasibility.
- Construct and maintain detailed program plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, budget forecasts, and resource allocation matrices to guarantee on-time, in-scope delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define precise program scope, measurable objectives, and clear success criteria that align with organizational goals.
- Design and implement robust governance frameworks encompassing risk registers, issue escalation paths, and formal change control processes to maintain program integrity.
- Produce and present regular status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries highlighting progress, variances, blockers, and key performance indicators for leadership review.
- Act as the primary communication hub, ensuring seamless information flow and strategic alignment between engineering squads, clinical teams, marketing, and executive stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and dependencies before they impact critical path timelines or deliverable quality.
- Design and facilitate effective program ceremonies, including kick-offs, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and steering committee meetings, ensuring actionable outcomes.
- Cultivate deep, trust-based relationships with internal partners and external healthcare system collaborators to unlock growth opportunities and remove organizational friction.
- Champion a continuous improvement philosophy by auditing existing workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and standardizing playbooks to prepare the organization for rapid scaling.
- Anticipate operational bottlenecks, propose data-backed solutions, manage inter-team dependencies, and lead the evaluation and adoption of new productivity tools or process enhancements.
Requirements

- Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities, with a track record of juggling multiple competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
- High resilience and grit, capable of maintaining momentum and composure amid ambiguity, shifting requirements, and the inherent chaos of an early-stage startup.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling you to deconstruct complex problems, synthesize data, and devise creative, practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar) and a willingness to quickly adopt new software stacks as the tech ecosystem evolves.
- Self-directed work ethic with the discipline to deliver high-quality output independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without formal authority.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering polished, error-free work products.
