What you'll do
- Assist in the planning and execution of environmental restoration projects, including habitat restoration, wetland mitigation, and stream enhancement.
- Conduct field assessments to collect data on site conditions, vegetation, and wildlife, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop restoration plans that meet project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support project proposals and permit applications.
- Utilize GIS software to analyze spatial data and create maps that inform project planning and execution.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in environmental restoration, engineering, or a related discipline, including internships or co-op positions.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Proficiency in GIS software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, including outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions.

Nice to have
- Experience with ecological restoration techniques, including native plant installation and erosion control methods.
