The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Fixed Income Trading to own and elevate Altruist's fixed income trading function. This is a high-visibility hybrid role blending senior individual contributor responsibilities with people leadership. You will manage a team of traders, own critical dealer and counterparty relationships, and act as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering. A central priority will be deepening the integration between Altruist's fixed income platform and Moment-an AI-driven order management system-to unlock smarter execution, greater automation, and a more seamless advisor experience. Equally important will be positioning Altruist's fixed income offering to attract large enterprise RIA firms and compete at the highest level of the independent advisor market. The ideal candidate brings deep fixed income expertise and genuine openness to AI tools like Claude to work smarter and deliver better outcomes for advisors. You do not need to write code; you need the curiosity to ask what AI can do and the judgment to put those answers to work.
What You Will Do
You will set the agenda for fixed income trading operations across municipal, government, and corporate markets daily. You will champion the Moment OMS integration, steering order routing and execution logic to meet enterprise RIA demands. Driving pricing transparency and automation across Tradeweb, MarketAxess, Bloomberg, and our internal tooling will be a core responsibility. You will choreograph dealer and counterparty relationships while safeguarding compliance with FINRA, MSRB, and SEC rules. Orchestrating trade workflows from intake through settlement, while leveraging AI to clarify market signals and execution paths, will define your daily rhythm. You will shape fixed income product direction alongside Product and Engineering, serving as a trusted strategic advisor in enterprise conversations. Defending supervisory procedures and owning escalation paths for complex trade or settlement issues will be non-negotiable. Finally, you will advocate for necessary capability investments so Altruist can compete effectively with large independent advisor firms.
Requirements
You must have at least three years of fixed income trading operations experience in a supervised role. A deep understanding of municipal, government, and corporate bond markets and their settlement mechanics is essential. You must demonstrate fluency with Tradeweb, MarketAxess, and Bloomberg terminal workflows. Proven ability to supervise trade execution, compliance checks, and settlement issue resolution is required. You must bring genuine openness to AI tools such as Claude to augment analysis and decision making.
Nice to Have
Experience serving large enterprise RIA firms and understanding their procurement and workflow expectations will be valuable.

Practical Notes
