What you'll do

• Install and configure electronic low voltage systems, including security, fire alarm, and communication systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the best installation practices and to identify any potential challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop installation schedules and ensure timely project completion.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ELV systems, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Document installation processes, maintenance activities, and any modifications made to systems for future reference.
• Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of their ELV systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ELV technology and industry best practices to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates for potential clients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during installation and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing and maintaining electronic low voltage systems, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of ELV systems, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations governing ELV installations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with installation software.

Nice to have

• Certification in ELV systems or related fields is a plus.
• Experience with project management software or tools.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and sustainable practices in ELV installations.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, enhancing client relations and service delivery.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for installation and maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with testing equipment for ELV systems, such as multimeters and cable testers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Knowledge of networking principles and protocols related to ELV systems.
