What you'll do
- Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in Interior Design, ensuring alignment with industry standards and academic rigor.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career paths, fostering their growth and development in the field of design.
- Conduct and publish original research in reputable journals, contributing to the body of knowledge in Interior Design and related disciplines.
- Collaborate with faculty members across departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and projects.
- Participate in curriculum development and program assessment to ensure the continuous improvement of the Interior Design program.
- Engage with industry professionals and organizations to create networking opportunities for students and enhance the program's relevance to current market trends.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures that expose students to diverse perspectives and practices in Interior Design.
- Contribute to departmental and university service through committee participation and involvement in academic governance.
- Stay updated with advancements in design technology and methodologies, integrating them into teaching practices.

Requirements
- A terminal degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the university level, with a demonstrated ability to engage students effectively.
- A strong portfolio of professional work that reflects expertise in Interior Design and a commitment to innovative design practices.
- Proven track record of research and publication in peer-reviewed journals or significant contributions to the field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
- Familiarity with current design software and tools, as well as an understanding of sustainable design principles.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of designers.
