What you'll do

• Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in Interior Design, ensuring alignment with industry standards and academic rigor.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career paths, fostering their growth and development in the field of design.
• Conduct and publish original research in reputable journals, contributing to the body of knowledge in Interior Design and related disciplines.
• Collaborate with faculty members across departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and projects.
• Participate in curriculum development and program assessment to ensure the continuous improvement of the Interior Design program.
• Engage with industry professionals and organizations to create networking opportunities for students and enhance the program's relevance to current market trends.

Requirements

• A terminal degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the university level, with a demonstrated ability to engage students effectively.
• A strong portfolio of professional work that reflects expertise in Interior Design and a commitment to innovative design practices.
• Proven track record of research and publication in peer-reviewed journals or significant contributions to the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
• Familiarity with current design software and tools, as well as an understanding of sustainable design principles.
• Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of designers.
