What you'll do

• Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate-level courses in accounting, ensuring alignment with current industry practices and academic standards.
• Conduct original research in the field of accounting, contributing to the body of knowledge and publishing findings in reputable academic journals.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters, fostering their professional development and guiding them through their educational journey.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the accounting curriculum, integrating innovative teaching methods and technologies to improve student learning outcomes.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities, including committee work, program reviews, and accreditation processes.
• Engage with the local and international accounting community through conferences, workshops, and networking events to promote the university and its programs.
• Supervise graduate students in their research projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of their degrees.
• Stay current with developments in the accounting profession and academia, incorporating new knowledge into teaching and research initiatives.

Requirements

• A terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A strong record of teaching experience at the university level, demonstrating effective instructional strategies and student engagement.
• A proven track record of research and publications in reputable academic journals, showcasing expertise in accounting topics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students and faculty.
• A commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement in teaching and research practices.
• Familiarity with current trends and technologies in accounting education and practice.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment methodologies.
