What you'll do

• Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial engineering, ensuring alignment with current industry standards and academic rigor.
• Supervise and mentor students in their academic pursuits, including guiding them through research projects and thesis work.
• Conduct original research in areas relevant to industrial engineering, contributing to the body of knowledge and publishing findings in reputable journals.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster interdisciplinary research and innovative teaching methods.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to the governance and strategic direction of the institution.
• Engage with industry partners to create opportunities for student internships, cooperative education, and collaborative research projects.
• Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance the academic experience for students and faculty alike.
• Stay current with advancements in the field of industrial engineering and integrate new knowledge into course content and research initiatives.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A proven track record of teaching at the university level, with experience in curriculum development and student assessment.
• A strong record of research publications in reputable journals, demonstrating expertise in industrial engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and industry stakeholders.
• A commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the academic environment.
• Experience in securing research funding and managing research projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.

Nice to have

• Professional engineering licensure or certification in industrial engineering or a related field.
