What you'll do
- Drive the implementation of test automation strategies across the testing pyramid, from unit to end-to-end, to validate customer use cases.
- Build and maintain automated tests, working closely with engineering teams to ensure comprehensive coverage for new features and releases.
- Enhance existing automation frameworks to support evolving functionalities and optimize testing efficiency.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure thorough quality checks throughout the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, verifying fixes and ensuring product stability.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and other QE teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Design and execute test scenarios that replicate complex user behaviors and edge cases.
- Analyze test results and metrics to identify trends, flaky tests, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with developers to translate requirements into testable criteria and executable specifications.
- Advocate for quality practices by introducing tools and processes that improve the overall testing maturity of the team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software testing and automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Typescript or Javascript, along with strong scripting abilities.
- Deep understanding of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins) and using Git for version control.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Proven ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems, and implement integrations with broad impact.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
