What you'll do

• Utilize Microsoft Azure Sentinel to monitor security events and incidents, ensuring timely detection and response to potential threats.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, analyzing logs and alerts to determine the scope and impact of breaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures that align with best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on security incidents, offering recommendations for remediation and preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards and reports to provide visibility into the security landscape.
• Participate in threat hunting activities, proactively seeking out vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise within the environment.
• Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans, ensuring readiness for potential security incidents.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the SOC's capabilities.
• Mentor and train junior analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on security incidents and overall security posture.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify areas for improvement in the security framework.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to enhance security measures and share threat intelligence.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a security operations center or similar role, with a focus on incident response and threat detection.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Sentinel and its capabilities for security monitoring and incident management.
• Proficient in analyzing security logs, alerts, and incidents from various sources, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Azure Security Engineer Associate are highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience with other security tools and platforms, such as SIEM, EDR, or threat intelligence solutions.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and principles, particularly in Azure environments.
