About the role
Agoda is seeking a leader to manage the Flights business across Singapore and Malaysia. You will act as the primary commercial representative in these markets, driving growth, managing airline partnerships, and executing strategy for this rapidly expanding division. In this capacity, you will own the commercial performance and strategic direction of the flights vertical in two key Southeast Asian markets. You will translate corporate objectives into actionable market plans that align with local dynamics and global standards. The role requires a balance of strategic foresight and operational rigor to ensure sustainable profitability. You will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with key airline stakeholders to secure favorable commercial terms. Success in this position will be defined by your ability to scale revenue while maintaining competitive positioning.

What you'll do
- Devise and execute market strategies for Singapore and Malaysia to balance profitability and growth.
- Conduct commercial negotiations regarding pricing, availability, and terms directly with airline partners.
- Function as the internal subject matter expert on the aviation and online travel sectors within the region.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with suppliers to enhance revenue and distribution reach.
- Liaise with regional supply, operations, and product teams to ensure partner requirements are fully addressed.
- Analyze data to identify emerging trends, test new concepts, and optimize commercial performance metrics.
- Initiate and launch new distribution models and commercial initiatives to scale the business footprint.
- Partner with finance to model revenue scenarios and manage budget variance for the flight supply portfolio.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to adjust strategies in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead cross-functional projects that require alignment between legal, marketing, and operational departments.
- Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and internal policies across all negotiated arrangements.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on performance analytics and market feedback.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and tools to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members to elevate the overall capability of the flights supply function.
Requirements
- Hold 5+ years of professional experience within the airline, OTA, or flights industry.
- Possess a background in market strategy, commercial negotiations, and distribution models.
- Have prior experience in the Singapore and Malaysia markets that is highly preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and execute comprehensive business plans involving legal, marketing, and operational components.
- Show strong analytical skills to interpret data and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Exhibit professional fluency in English and Mandarin to facilitate high-level negotiations with suppliers.
- Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset that supports independent task management in a fast-paced environment.
- Display a proven track record of owning end-to-end commercial initiatives from conception to execution.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability when managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
