About the role

In this capacity, you will own the scalability and efficiency of the Agiloft Legal Department, including its intake, workflows, technology, and operational strategy. You will optimize how the department delivers its work product and the metrics it reports to the business, ensuring alignment with company objectives. You will own the data: identifying, collecting, and analyzing it to tell a clear story of the Legal Department's value creation and impact. Partnering closely with the General Counsel and the broader Legal Department, you will drive toward Legal and company goals while enabling the team and shaping the culture, incentives, and processes that help everyone do their best work. This role functions as an individual contributor that reports directly to the General Counsel, requiring a high degree of ownership and strategic thinking. You will leverage your passion for Legal Tech and Legal Ops to implement pragmatic solutions that act as a legal force multiplier. What you'll do
Analyze current legal department workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions that enhance productivity.
Evaluate and optimize the legal intake process to ensure requests are captured, triaged, and routed with speed and accuracy.
Own the management and administration of legal technology platforms, ensuring they are configured to support departmental goals.
Leverage contract data to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and demonstrate departmental value.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their needs and develop legal operations strategies that support company growth.
Design and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the legal department.
Implement process documentation and standardization practices that create consistency and reduce operational risk.
Champion the adoption of new tools and methodologies that drive automation and remove manual, repetitive tasks.
Partner with IT and procurement to integrate legal technology systems and ensure data flows seamlessly across the organization.
Support the development and maintenance of reporting dashboards that provide clear visibility into legal department performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback and identifying opportunities for innovation within legal operations.
Manage projects related to legal operations initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Serve as a subject matter expert on legal operations best practices, contributing to discussions on strategy and process across the company.
Act as a liaison between the legal department and other business units to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes.
Requirements
Must reside in the United States.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in legal operations, legal project management, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience managing legal technology platforms and workflow automation tools.
Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.
Strong understanding of the contract lifecycle and the role of data in driving efficient negotiations and approvals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
Experience with Agiloft or other no-code CLM platforms.
Knowledge of legal billing matters and alternative fee arrangements.
Familiarity with specific ERGs or employee resource group initiatives.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position located in the United States.
The role requires floating holidays and adherence to a quarterly, no-questions-asked wellness day policy.
