Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and implement software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications that guide the development process.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues, ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently.
- Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and systems to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance our software development practices.
- Contribute to the development of APIs and microservices that integrate with various platforms and services, ensuring seamless data exchange and functionality.
- Work with testing teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring that software meets functional and non-functional requirements before deployment.
- Engage in Agile methodologies, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration and project delivery.
- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their technical skills and professional development.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our software delivery process.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with web development frameworks and technologies, including but not limited to React, Angular, or Vue.js for front-end development.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, .NET, or Java Spring, and experience building RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling and query optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with cloud-native application development.
- Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools, with a focus on ensuring software quality and reliability.
