Full Stack Developer and Cloud Engineer
Job description
About the role
Agile Robots is seeking a senior developer to build and maintain an end-to-end data collection pipeline for humanoid robots. You will manage cloud infrastructure and backend services that support teleoperation devices and high-volume data streams. In this position, you will own the reliability and scalability of the data pipeline from the robot edge to long-term storage and analytics. You will collaborate closely with product teams and robotics engineers to translate operational requirements into robust technical solutions. A significant part of your work will involve designing systems that handle continuous, high-throughput data ingestion while maintaining strict integrity standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that backend services remain performant, secure, and observable under production loads. This role requires strong leadership in defining architecture, enforcing best practices, and mentoring engineers to raise the overall quality of the codebase.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs for managing sessions, robots, datasets, and user permissions.
- Manage data ingestion, upload reliability, buffering, and integrity checks for large-scale robot data.
- Architect cloud environments including storage, compute, networking, and security protocols.
- Integrate third-party SDKs, storage tools, and data labeling platforms.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and tracing systems while defining SLIs and SLOs.
- Enforce security standards such as IAM, secrets management, and auditability.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design documentation, and mentorship of junior staff.
- Design and implement resilient data pipelines that ensure no loss of critical telemetry under varying network conditions.
- Optimize database schemas and query strategies to support efficient access patterns for analytics and real-time operations.
- Coordinate with edge computing teams to align on data formats, protocols, and synchronization strategies.
- Implement automated deployment workflows that enable frequent, low-risk releases to production environments.
- Conduct performance testing and capacity planning to support scaling as robot deployments grow globally.
- Collaborate with data science and product teams to enable rapid experimentation and insight generation from collected data.
- Document system behaviors, operational runbooks, and interfaces to support long-term maintainability.
Requirements
