This role is centered on marketing analytics and business intelligence, with a primary focus on delivering accurate, insightful, and actionable reports for clients. You will play a key part in bridging the gap between data engineering teams and marketing operations, ensuring the quality and integrity of reporting while enhancing data models to support strategic decision-making. The position requires a hands-on approach, with a deep understanding of paid media performance, attribution models, and marketing funnels. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing dashboards, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and ensuring seamless data integrations across various platforms. This is an on-site role based in Medellin, suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities independently.

What you'll do
- Guarantee the quality and accuracy of all Looker dashboards and campaign forecast Explores before they are reviewed by clients or strategists, ensuring data integrity and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, attribution issues, and reporting inconsistencies by applying your paid media knowledge and analytical skills.
- Develop, customize, and maintain new Looker dashboards tailored to meet evolving marketing reporting needs, providing stakeholders with clear insights into campaign performance.
- Build, update, and optimize LookML models, including creating and refining dimensions, measures, and reporting logic to improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency.
- Verify and maintain integrations between advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other paid media sources, as well as CRM systems and campaign data sources, to ensure seamless data flow.
- Monitor data pipelines continuously to ensure reporting accuracy, data freshness, and integrity, addressing any issues promptly to prevent reporting errors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Marketing team and Data Engineering team, translating marketing reporting requests into technical specifications and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
- Produce clear, concise, and insightful performance summaries for internal teams and clients, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Identify and suggest improvements to reporting workflows, dashboard usability, and overall marketing analytics processes to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Uphold data governance standards, ensuring compliance with reporting protocols and maintaining high standards of data security and privacy.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading or owning a Looker implementation or migration, with a strong understanding of best practices in dashboard development and data modeling.
- Practical experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing LookML models, including creating custom dimensions, measures, and complex reporting logic.
- Solid understanding of paid media analytics, including key metrics such as ROAS, attribution models, marketing funnels, channel taxonomy, and campaign performance metrics.
- Proven ability to build scalable, user-friendly dashboards and reporting solutions in Looker that meet diverse stakeholder needs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with exceptional attention to detail to identify and resolve data issues efficiently.
- Ability to independently manage priorities across multiple teams and projects, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment, but must be available during U.S. Central Time Zone working hours or have the required overlap to collaborate effectively.
- Knowledge of data integration processes and experience working with various marketing data sources and platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and standards to ensure reporting compliance and data security.

- Experience integrating HubSpot data into reporting environments, enhancing marketing and sales insights.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), including session tracking and attribution modeling, to complement marketing analytics efforts.
- Familiarity with sponsored content, partnership marketing, or campaign reporting structures, providing broader context for marketing performance analysis.
- Experience working closely with marketing operations or performance marketing teams to understand their reporting needs and workflows.
- Working knowledge of SQL and modern marketing data warehouses, enabling more advanced data manipulation and analysis.

Practical notes
- This engagement is as an Independent Contractor, with contractual terms aligned accordingly.
- Compensation for the initial 30-day contract will be determined based on your experience and assessment during the onboarding process.
- After the initial period, there is potential for an ongoing monthly retainer, which will be negotiated based on performance, project needs, and business priorities.
- The role requires availability during U.S. Central Time Zone working hours or sufficient overlap to facilitate effective communication with the team.
