Adventservices is seeking a dedicated Instructional System Design Support professional to join our team at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze training needs and identify gaps in existing instructional materials.
- Design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
- Utilize instructional design models and best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences tailored to various audiences.
- Conduct formative and summative evaluations of instructional materials to ensure they meet learning objectives and standards.
- Implement feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve instructional content and delivery methods.
- Assist in the development of assessment tools to measure learner performance and the effectiveness of instructional programs.
- Support the integration of technology into instructional design, including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and multimedia tools.
- Provide training and support to instructors and facilitators on the use of instructional materials and technologies.
- Maintain documentation of instructional design processes, project plans, and evaluation results for future reference and compliance.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall strategic planning of instructional initiatives within the organization.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in instructional design and technology to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of educational practices.
- Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams to align instructional strategies with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design or a similar role, preferably in a military or government setting.
- Proficiency in instructional design software and tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with assessment and evaluation techniques to measure learning outcomes.
Nice to have
- Certification in instructional design or a related field (e.g., ATD, ISPI, or similar).
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar applications.
- Knowledge of military training standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in developing training for technical or specialized subjects.
- Background in user experience (UX) design or human-computer interaction (HCI).
