Marketplace Logistics Specialist
Job description
About the role
This role is embedded at the heart of Addi's marketplace logistics engine, where you will own the end-to-day execution of last-mile operations for one of Colombia's fastest-growing financial platforms. You will be responsible for monitoring the live order pipeline in real time, resolving carrier exceptions as they arise, and driving the successful onboarding of new marketplace allies to ensure operational resilience. The position demands a hands-on owner who can sustain high service levels while the operation scales toward processing 1,000+ sellers and 120,000 orders per month. You will work closely with carriers, CX, and internal stakeholders to keep every customer delivery promise and ensure that every new seller goes live ready to perform. Your day-to-day will involve balancing tactical problem-solving with strategic process improvement to protect the company's OTIF and OTD commitments. If you thrive in fast-paced, data-driven environments and are passionate about logistics excellence, this is your opportunity to shape the future of commerce in Colombia.
Key facts
What you'll do
Sustain OTIF at or above 95 percent and seller on-time delivery at or above 98 percent by implementing a structured daily pipeline monitoring routine that tracks open, overdue, and aging orders while assigning a single owner and resolution date to each at-risk shipment, with performance reviewed weekly against target from month one.
Reduce open exception aging by 40 percent through the rollout of a carrier exception management standard operating procedure that defines 24-hour, 48-hour, and five-day resolution tiers per exception type, coordinating closely with the customer experience team for timely customer communications and measuring the percentage of exceptions closed within service level agreement by the third quarter.
Recover at least 90 percent of eligible carrier billing discrepancies by executing weekly reconciliations that cross-check shipping labels against orders and invoiced charges, identifying billed-weight errors and duplicate charges, and reducing cost leakage per shipment by the end of the third quarter.
Onboard more than 30 new seller allies into the Addi last-mile network by owning a standardized end-to-end onboarding checklist that covers configuration, carrier mapping, service-level agreement setup, pilot order execution, and go-live validation, aiming to reduce the average time-to-live per seller by 25 percent compared to the current baseline by the fourth quarter.
Ensure zero unplanned service-level agreement breaches during peak shopping events such as Cyber Days, Hot Sale, and Black Friday by activating pre-agreed contingency playbooks that include reinforced monitoring, carrier readiness checks, and seller capacity alerts at least four weeks before each peak period.
Build and maintain a daily operations dashboard that becomes a trusted tool for the team by creating a live control panel displaying prior-day volume, on-time performance week-over-week and month-to-date, open exceptions and their aging, and seller OTD status with clear traffic-light indicators, while keeping data errors below 2 percent and establishing the dashboard as the leadership source of truth within 60 days of joining.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align logistics capacity with marketplace growth, translating seller onboarding forecasts and peak demand scenarios into actionable carrier and resource plans that protect service levels.
Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by documenting standard operating procedures, tracking key performance indicators, and sharing best practices across the logistics and customer experience teams.
Requirements
Possess three to five years of proven experience owning last-mile or marketplace logistics operations in e-commerce, marketplace, retail, or third-party logistics environments based in Colombia, with a demonstrated history of managing operational key performance indicators such as OTIF, on-time delivery, exception rates, and cost per shipment rather than only reporting on them to a manager.
Hold a professional degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field that provides a foundational understanding of supply chain and operations management principles.
Have hands-on experience coordinating with national carriers such as Coordinadora, Servientrega, and TCC on pickup scheduling, service-level agreements, and delivery exception resolution.
Demonstrate a track record of carrier management and exception resolution, including the ability to hold carriers accountable using data while maintaining functional working relationships.
Be able to describe a real-world exception you managed end to end, including the nature of the issue, the escalation path you followed, the internal and external stakeholders you coordinated with, and the final resolution and impact on service metrics.
Possess strong expertise in data-based root cause analysis and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to pull, clean, and cross-check data from multiple sources such as orders, labels, and invoices to identify discrepancies.
Have experience building and using daily operations dashboards and key performance indicator trackers to drive decisions and communicate performance to leadership.
Show a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, balancing tactical issue resolution with strategic process improvement initiatives.
Nice to have
Experience scaling marketplace logistics operations in Latin America, particularly in high-growth environments similar to Colombia's e-commerce landscape.
Familiarity with Addi's products, marketplace dynamics, and financial services context, including an understanding of how logistics performance impacts customer trust and credit risk.
