Head of Marketplace Supply
Job description
About the role
You will architect and execute the selection and supply strategy that powers Addi's marketplace engine, translating market potential into a curated, high-performing catalog. You will own the end-to-end flow from merchant onboarding and category strategy to operational governance, ensuring every decision compounds growth rather than merely adding volume. In this role, you will define the commercial cadence that aligns demand with availability, turning constraints into levers for sustainable scale. You will build data-driven narratives that reveal where value hides in the catalog and how to unlock it without proportional headcount growth. You will partner closely with commercial and product teams to embed quality and pricing discipline into the marketplace DNA. You will be responsible for protecting the integrity of the platform while aggressively pursuing revenue efficiency and merchant profitability. You will act as the definitive voice for the supply side, ensuring that strategy is executable and that execution is measurable.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and scale Addi's merchant acquisition and activation strategy, targeting 150%+ growth in active sellers and a 2x expansion of the published catalog while strategically shifting category mix away from top-25 dependency.
- Engineer a value-based pricing and quality framework that enables Addi to compete head-on with MeLi and Falabella, reducing merchant-driven order issues by 30% across 80,000+ monthly orders.
- Transform supply into a commercial asset by owning the demand-aligned commercial calendar, monetizing programs like Fulfilled by Addi, and deploying self-service tooling that scales marketplace operations without proportional headcount increases.
- Diagnose and close the selection gap upstream of demand, moving brand coverage and category productivity to best-in-class levels so that catalog depth becomes a constraint of excellence rather than a barrier to demand.
- Build and operate a decision-grade governance cadence, including a daily input pulse, a weekly review rhythm, and a monthly decision instance focused on inputs rather than outputs, ensuring no build ships without a named commercial owner and committed action.
- Price merchant acquisition by maturity value and mix, using concentration management as a health metric rather than relying on publication counts or vanity volume metrics.
- Define a data-driven category prioritization and brand-tiering methodology that crosses market size, search and demand signals, internal performance, and momentum to guide hunt-and-farm execution.
- Analyze category productivity through the lens of GMV per seller and listings per seller, activating existing catalog assets before pursuing over-publishing or inefficient expansion.
- Lead and professionalize multi-disciplinary teams spanning acquisition, account management, and operations, matching the scale and complexity of Addi's current marketplace ambitions.
- Leverage proven experience in scaling high-quality merchant networks from a base of 1,600+ sellers to significantly higher volumes while protecting and improving quality, trust, and unit economics.
- Translate complex marketplace dynamics into clear operating systems and dashboards, enabling fast, evidence-based decisions across leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with regulatory and strategic stakeholders to ensure that marketplace policies and controls remain aligned with Addi's status as a regulated financial and commerce platform.
- Drive continuous experimentation and insight loops, testing levers across pricing, placement, and tooling to sustain compounding growth in marketplace performance.
- Act as the primary cross-functional integrator for supply-side initiatives, ensuring alignment between product, risk, legal, and commercial teams.
Requirements

- Prices acquisition by merchant maturity value and mix, managing concentration as a health metric rather than a vanity metric.
- Built a data-driven category prioritization and brand-tiering method crossing market size, search and demand signals, internal performance, and momentum, and executed hunt-and-farm plans against it.
- Reads a category by productivity, measured as GMV per seller and listings per seller, and activates existing catalog before over-publishing.
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role owning the full supply side of a major E-commerce, B2B Marketplace, or high-growth Fintech platform.
- Demonstrated success in leading and professionalizing multi-disciplinary teams including acquisition, account management, and operations at a scale matching the current size and scope of the team.
