What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Build and maintain APIs that connect financial data systems with client-facing applications
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality and system reliability across all services
• Participate in code reviews to maintain consistent coding standards and share knowledge
• Optimize database queries and data models to support high-performance financial calculations
• Deploy and monitor applications using cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies
• Troubleshoot production issues and diagnose performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the long-term direction of the platform
• Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical guidance sessions

• Integrate third-party financial data providers and market data feeds into the platform

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 5 or more years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment
• Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in a production environment with high availability
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and fundamental software design principles and patterns
• Familiarity with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries for complex data operations
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of complex engineering tasks from start to finish
• Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and requirements can shift quickly
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative branching workflows
• Understanding of software testing practices including unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development

• Experience with financial technology or wealth management domain knowledge and applications
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queue systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Contributions to open source projects or public code repositories on platforms like GitHub
• Experience with data pipelines and batch processing frameworks for large datasets
• Understanding of security best practices for handling sensitive financial data and compliance
