What you'll do
- Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers, including on-site audits and evaluations, to ensure they meet Acino's quality and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain supplier qualification documentation, including risk assessments and performance evaluations, to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to align supplier qualification criteria with company objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, providing guidance and support to help them meet Acino's quality expectations.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to supplier qualification and quality management to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Participate in supplier development initiatives, working with suppliers to enhance their capabilities and performance in line with Acino's standards.
- Prepare and present reports on supplier qualification activities and performance metrics to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of supplier quality assurance programs to mitigate risks associated with supplier performance.
- Support the resolution of supplier-related quality issues by coordinating investigations and facilitating communication between internal teams and suppliers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier qualification processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to supplier qualification and quality management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, quality assurance, or engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier qualification, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to supplier management, such as ISO 9001 or GMP.
- Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using quality management systems and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with knowledge of specific regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with risk management principles and methodologies related to supplier qualification.
- Certification in quality management or supply chain management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certifications).
- Multilingual abilities, particularly in Arabic and English, to facilitate communication with local suppliers.

- Proficient in quality management systems and methodologies, including root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all supplier qualification activities.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques to assess supplier performance metrics.
