As a Quality Control Specialist at Bamboohr, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our pharmaceutical products. What you'll do
- Conduct routine quality control inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to enhance product reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and regulatory affairs, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze data from quality control tests and prepare detailed reports on findings, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance with quality standards.
- Train and mentor junior quality control staff on best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in quality control methodologies to continuously improve processes.
- Assist in the development of quality assurance documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and validation protocols.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related complaints from customers and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines throughout all quality control activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including GMP, GLP, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and quality control methodologies, including statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.
- Proficient in using laboratory software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Nice to have
- Experience with quality assurance processes and risk management in a pharmaceutical setting.
- Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor).
- Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and software for quality analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.
- Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops related to quality control practices.
