As a Quality Control Specialist at Bamboohr, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our pharmaceutical products. What you'll do

• Conduct routine quality control inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to enhance product reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and regulatory affairs, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze data from quality control tests and prepare detailed reports on findings, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance with quality standards.
• Train and mentor junior quality control staff on best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in quality control methodologies to continuously improve processes.
• Assist in the development of quality assurance documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and validation protocols.
• Investigate and resolve quality-related complaints from customers and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
• Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines throughout all quality control activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including GMP, GLP, and ISO standards.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and quality control methodologies, including statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.
• Proficient in using laboratory software and tools for data analysis and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with quality assurance processes and risk management in a pharmaceutical setting.
• Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor).
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and software for quality analysis.
• Familiarity with regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.
• Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops related to quality control practices.

Skills & tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) for data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
