About the role

As an , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our operations and fostering a culture of compliance across the organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs that align with Acino's strategic objectives, while also ensuring that we uphold the highest ethical standards in our business practices.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs that meet regulatory requirements and align with Acino's business objectives.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure that compliance policies and procedures are integrated into daily operations.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization, ensuring timely updates to compliance programs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, managing communications and ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies.
• Investigate compliance violations and recommend corrective actions, ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to address issues.
• Support the development of a robust risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates compliance risks.
• Liaise with external auditors and consultants to facilitate compliance assessments and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Participate in industry forums and networks to stay informed about emerging compliance trends and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open dialogue about compliance issues and promotes ethical decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CISA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting audits.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable policies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a multinational organization or in a compliance role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR).
• Knowledge of quality management systems and their relationship to compliance.
• Proficiency in compliance management software and tools.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus, particularly Arabic or French.

• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance management software.
• Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on compliance topics.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Critical thinking skills to assess compliance risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

Practical notes

• This position is based in Cairo, Cairo, and may require occasional travel for audits or training sessions.
• The salary for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience, with additional benefits provided by Acino.
