About the role
You will manage the deployment of Zuora Billing and CPQ solutions for large-scale enterprise clients. This role is centered on owning the full project lifecycle for complex subscription initiatives from initial discovery through to production deployment. You will act as the primary liaison between Zuora's product suite and the client's business operations. In this capacity, you will guide customers through configuration, testing, and rollout of billing and quoting platforms. The position requires translating ambiguous business problems into concrete technical workflows and system behaviors. You will be responsible for ensuring that the deployed solution aligns with the client's commercial objectives and revenue processes. Success in this role means ensuring customers achieve fast time-to-value and long-term platform adoption. You will serve as the technical expert who ensures the Zuora stack functions as a strategic asset for the client.

What you'll do
Partner with Solution Architects to design and deploy Zuora Billing and CPQ products for complex enterprise environments.
Translate business needs from stakeholder interviews into detailed technical configurations and clear functional documentation for the implementation team.
Manage system testing, user acceptance testing, and post-deployment troubleshooting to resolve issues and validate release readiness.
Coordinate with Engineering and Product teams to resolve implementation hurdles related to integrations, data models, and performance.
Lead customer training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops to ensure successful platform adoption and internal capability building.
Integrate Zuora with CRM platforms like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics and ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Workday to ensure end-to-end data flow.
Perform fit/gap analysis to identify discrepancies between client requirements and Zuora product capabilities and document recommended workarounds.
Conduct configuration reviews and quality checks to ensure that billing rules, approval processes, and quoting logic meet contractual and operational standards.
Support data migration initiatives by mapping legacy fields, defining transformation rules, and validating data integrity in the new Zuora tenant.
Engage in discovery workshops to capture requirements around subscriptions, pricing models, and revenue recognition policies for subscription-based businesses.
Collaborate with Sales and Professional Services teams to develop solution briefs, scoping documents, and implementation timelines for new opportunities.
Monitor project health by tracking timelines, dependencies, and risks while communicating status updates to client stakeholders and internal leads.
Contribute to the development of reusable assets, such as configuration templates, integration patterns, and training materials for future engagements.
Act as an escalation partner for post-launch issues and help coordinate hotfixes, patches, and optimization efforts with the product and engineering groups.
Champion best practices around Zuora configuration, API usage, and integration design to ensure scalable and maintainable implementations.
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in enterprise software implementation consulting focused on billing, CRM, or subscription platforms.
- Proven track record managing full-cycle implementation projects from initial scoping through deployment and post-launch support.
- Ability to perform fit/gap analysis and document complex technical requirements in a way that bridges business and technical audiences.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or SQL to automate tasks and validate data.
- Demonstrated experience working with REST or SOAP APIs to integrate systems and extract or transform data.
- Capacity to travel 25% of the time for on-site client work in North America and Canada to support workshops, testing, and go-live activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate workshops, lead training, and negotiate scope with client stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments with iterative delivery cycles and changing requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting engagement while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to Zuora's security, compliance, and data handling policies across all client engagements.
- Readiness to utilize Zuura tools, Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, and Workday to configure solutions and resolve integration issues.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards for configuration accuracy, testing coverage, and documentation quality.
- Professional mindset oriented toward solving complex business problems through technology and process alignment.
Nice to have
- Background in Quote-to-Cash, Order-to-Revenue, or subscription management projects within SaaS or enterprise settings.
- Hands-on experience with REST or SOAP API integrations connecting Zuora to CRM or ERP systems.
- Expertise in data migration strategies, including planning, execution, and validation for large data sets.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition rules and how they map to subscription billing configurations.
- Experience working in North American and Canadian client environments with frequent interaction with C-level and operational stakeholders.
