About the role
Zscaler is seeking a Senior Product Manager to guide the strategy and execution of our Data Security capabilities. You will report to the Director of Product Management and work from our San Jose office under a hybrid model. In this capacity, you will own the vision, strategy, and delivery of products that secure data across web and email channels. You will act as the central connective tissue between engineering, customers, and the business to ensure product initiatives align with market demands. The role requires a deep commitment to understanding complex data security problems and translating them into actionable product solutions. You will leverage data and customer insights to drive decisions and ensure the product portfolio remains competitive and compelling. Success in this position will be measured by the adoption, satisfaction, and business impact of the products you manage.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate the end-to-end product lifecycle for Web DLP and Email DLP solutions from initial concept through retirement.
- Synthesize findings from market research, competitive analysis, and direct customer feedback to craft prioritized product requirements.
- Partner with Engineering and UX teams to design and deliver features that solve real user problems elegantly and efficiently.
- Liaise with Support and Operations to ensure alignment on product changes, support documentation, and operational workflows.
- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams to prepare go-to-market materials, messaging, and enablement tools for new launches.
- Drive the execution of go-to-market strategies to increase product adoption, retention, and overall success metrics.
- Analyze product performance metrics to inform iterative improvements and validate the effectiveness of released features.
- Represent the product vision and roadmap to internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure clarity and buy-in.
- Facilitate cross-functional ceremonies and discussions to resolve dependencies and unblock development efforts.
- Maintain a current understanding of the data security landscape to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
Requirements
- Bring 3 to 5 years of product management experience specifically within the cybersecurity solutions domain.
- Show demonstrated expertise in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data classification, covering both traditional and modern AI-based approaches.
- Exhibit technical proficiency in areas such as Data Security, Email Security, Proxy, CASB, and DSPM technologies.
- Possess a foundational understanding of AI and ML concepts and have experience applying these technologies to functional security domains.
- Communicate effectively with both highly technical engineers and business-focused stakeholders, adapting language to the audience.
- Navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions with incomplete information in a fast-paced environment.
- Take ownership of complex projects and see them through to completion while managing multiple priorities.
- Maintain a customer-centric mindset, constantly questioning how product decisions impact the end user experience.
Nice to have
- Experience in building and managing roadmaps for Data Security, DLP, or automated AI-based data classification initiatives.
- Hold a technical degree or possess a hands-on engineering background that provides credibility with technical teams.
- Demonstrate familiarity with web browsers, browser plugins, endpoint agents, security frameworks, and relevant compliance standards.

This role is based in San Jose, California, requiring a hybrid work arrangement with three days onsite per week.
