About the role
You will own the end-to-end management of treasury processes, taking full responsibility for the accuracy and timely execution of interest rate risk reporting that directly informs senior decision making. In this role, you will drive the evolution of liquidity and cash management frameworks, ensuring that our strategies are robust, efficient, and aligned with the bank's forward-looking objectives. You will lead the stewardship of funding activities and FTP analysis, owning the narratives and data that underpin our financial positioning. Expect to challenge existing methodologies, proposing and implementing enhancements that elevate the standard of Treasury operations. You will act as a key point of contact, collaborating seamlessly with Risk, Finance, and Business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable insights. This position demands a proactive mindset, where you identify gaps in current systems and take ownership of solutions that improve reliability and depth of analysis. You will mentor junior team members by providing direction and fostering best practices in financial control. Ultimately, you will safeguard the integrity of our financial data, ensuring our Treasury function is a pillar of strength for the entire organization.

What you'll do
Execute the end-to-end process for interest rate risk reporting, consolidating data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for management reporting.
Champion the development and optimization of liquidity and cash management policies, monitoring daily positions and forecasting future needs with precision.
Lead the analysis of funding strategies and FTP calculations, providing clear commentary on variances and trends to support strategic discussions.
Design and implement improvements to treasury workflows and controls, focusing on automation and the reduction of manual intervention where possible.
Partner with the Risk team to ensure that stress testing and scenario analysis reflect current market conditions and business assumptions.
Own the governance of treasury documentation, ensuring that processes, assumptions, and decisions are clearly recorded for audit and operational resilience.
Coordinate with Finance and Business units to gather requirements for new Treasury projects, translating high-level objectives into detailed technical specifications.
Drive the enhancement of reporting dashboards, ensuring that key Treasury metrics are accessible, intuitive, and actionable for stakeholders.
Manage relationships with external counterparties and banking partners to ensure smooth execution of treasury operations and compliance with terms.
Provide thought leadership on Treasury best practices, introducing new ideas and methodologies that raise the standard of performance within the team.
Support the delivery of ad-hoc analyses and special projects, providing deep dives into areas such as capital allocation and profitability at a granular level.
Act as a subject matter expert within the organization, answering queries and providing training on Treasury products and controls to non-specialist colleagues.
Implement rigorous reconciliation processes for treasury books, ensuring that all positions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved efficiently.
Champion the adoption of new technologies and data tools to improve the accuracy and speed of treasury analytics.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
You have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a treasury, finance, or risk management role within a financial services environment.
You demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, macros, and data manipulation techniques.
You hold a solid understanding of interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and funding risk frameworks as applied to a UK regulated bank.
You are experienced in the use of financial modeling and data analysis tools to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
You have a proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail.
You communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You are committed to upholding the highest standards of governance, risk, and compliance in all aspects of your work.
Nice to have
Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks specific to UK financial institutions.
Familiarity with treasury management systems and APIs used for bank messaging.
Knowledge of derivative instruments and their application in interest rate risk management.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional project collaboration.
Practical notes
This is a full-time role based in London.
The position is permanent and requires adherence to standard working hours.
