About the role
You will own the end to end lifecycle for technology hiring within Zopa Bank, partnering closely with hiring managers to interpret business needs and translate them into compelling talent strategies. You will act as the primary technical advisor to hiring leaders, using your expertise to shape interview processes and candidate assessments that reflect our fast paced and customer centric environment. You will build and maintain a robust talent pipeline, proactively managing relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring that hiring initiatives stay aligned with business priorities. You will leverage market data and hiring trends to anticipate future needs and drive long term workforce planning for critical technology roles. You will champion diversity and inclusion within tech hiring, ensuring our practices attract a broad spectrum of high calibre candidates. You will continuously evaluate and refine recruitment channels to maximise efficiency and improve quality of hire. You will collaborate with the wider People team to support broader people initiatives beyond recruitment, contributing to talent development and retention strategies. You will own the candidate experience, ensuring every interaction reinforces Zopa's brand and reputation in the competitive financial landscape.

What you'll do
Partner with technology leaders to define hiring requirements and success criteria for critical technology roles.
Own the full cycle sourcing strategy, utilising advanced search techniques and passive candidate engagement to build a diverse talent pool.
Conduct in depth market mapping to identify talent clusters and competitive landscape insights for technology functions.
Design and implement structured interview processes that assess both technical capability and cultural alignment with Zopa values.
Leverage data analytics to track hiring metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement in recruitment performance.
Collaborate with HR operations to ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies throughout the hiring lifecycle.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology managers to understand evolving team needs and future skill requirements.
Utilise a consultative selling approach to position Zopa as an employer of choice for top technology talent.
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations throughout the hiring journey.
Drive initiatives to enhance employer branding within the technology sector, showcasing Zopa's mission and culture.
Identify opportunities for process automation and tooling to increase efficiency and candidate satisfaction.
Support diversity and inclusion goals by implementing strategies that reduce bias and promote equitable hiring practices.
Engage in continuous learning to stay current with technology hiring trends, tools, and best practices.
Champion cross functional collaboration, working with People Operations and other teams to support broader talent initiatives.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
You possess significant experience in technology recruitment or a relevant hiring role within the tech industry.
You demonstrate a proven track record of successfully recruiting for technology roles in a fast paced environment.
You have an in depth understanding of the technology hiring landscape, including current market trends and competitive dynamics.
You show strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices relevant to recruitment and selection.
You exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
You are highly proficient in using recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and data analytics platforms.
You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with strong presentation and influencing skills.
Nice to have
Experience in a financial services environment or an understanding of the regulatory landscape in the UK financial sector.
Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and technology development lifecycles.
Knowledge of diversity and inclusion frameworks specific to technology hiring.
Experience with employer branding campaigns and digital recruitment marketing.
