What you'll do

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications to ensure thorough coverage.
• Execute manual and automated testing processes to identify bugs and ensure software functionality meets established standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on potential quality issues.
• Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring clear communication of issues and their resolution status.
• Conduct regression testing to confirm that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality and maintainability.
• Analyze test results and generate detailed reports to communicate findings to the development team and management.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage in testing efforts.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to the overall success of the development process.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and processes.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG, with hands-on experience in writing automated test scripts.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile development environments, with a solid understanding of Agile principles and practices.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to evaluate application performance under various conditions.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI to ensure the reliability of backend services.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, enabling you to contribute to test automation efforts.
• Understanding of security testing principles and tools to identify vulnerabilities in applications.
• Previous experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
