About the role
Zip is seeking a senior leader to guide the most critical and complex enterprise software implementations. This role involves overseeing strategic deployments, refining implementation processes, and developing a team of professional services experts. You will combine high-level strategy with hands-on technical problem-solving. You will act as the primary architect of deployment strategy for the most strategic enterprise accounts, ensuring alignment between client business objectives and technical execution. You will drive the successful delivery of large-scale transformations that define the long-term relationship between Zip and its customers. This position requires a balance of visionary leadership and operational rigor to navigate multifaceted implementation landscapes. You will be responsible for turning ambiguous business challenges into structured, actionable plans that de-risk execution and accelerate time to value.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic, customized enterprise deployments for Fortune 500 clients, owning the end-to-end success of critical initiatives.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives and key customer stakeholders to manage organizational complexity and reduce deployment risks through structured governance.
- Evaluate current delivery methods and create scalable, repeatable processes for discovery, solution architecture, workflow design, and testing to enhance consistency.
- Mentor Senior Implementation Managers and Solutions Architects, providing guidance on project governance, stakeholder management, and technical delivery to elevate team capability.
- Partner with leadership in Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate implementation insights into product roadmap improvements and future feature sets.
- Establish robust project health monitoring, risk escalation frameworks, and quality assurance standards to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Lead the design and optimization of integration workflows with major enterprise resource planning systems such as Workday, NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle.
- Define and implement best practices for discovery sessions, requirements validation, solution configuration, and user acceptance testing across diverse client environments.
- Drive the adoption of standardized documentation and playbooks that enable efficient knowledge transfer and seamless continuity between project phases.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team by synthesizing data from live deployments to inform decisions on resourcing, prioritization, and process enhancement.
- Champion the use of data-driven metrics to track implementation health, identify bottlenecks, and demonstrate tangible progress to executive sponsors.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Solutions team by encouraging experimentation, feedback loops, and retrospective learning.
- Represent Zip in key client forums and steering committee meetings, ensuring that technical nuance is clearly communicated to non-technical audiences.
- Own the end-state vision for complex engagements, aligning cross-functional teams around shared objectives and measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in enterprise software implementation, professional services, solutions architecture, or management consulting, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- At least 4 years in a senior leadership or director-level position at a SaaS or B2B enterprise technology company, demonstrating consistent execution in fast-paced environments.
- Proven success overseeing complex, multi-workstream deployments for large enterprises, including integrations with major ERPs such as Workday, NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle.
- Experience scaling professional services or implementation teams from startup to enterprise maturity by designing methodologies, playbooks, and performance KPIs.
- A strong focus on mentorship and leadership development, with a history of coaching individual contributors into strategic advisors and future managers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, comfortable guiding C-level stakeholders through ambiguity and organizational change.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a dynamic setting.
- Deep understanding of software delivery lifecycles, including requirements gathering, configuration management, testing strategies, and rollout planning.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and Europe to support key client engagements and team initiatives.

- Familiarity with procurement, finance, accounting, accounts payable (AP automation), or supply chain workflows, particularly in the context of enterprise technology deployments.
