Relocation/Financial Assistant
Job description
About the role
A federal agency in Arlington depends on this role to keep relocation activities on schedule. The position operates onsite Monday through Friday and supports government employees completing a permanent change of station. You will own the end-to-end financial integrity of relocation packages, ensuring every dollar aligns with government regulations and timelines. This role requires you to act as the primary liaison between vendors, employees, and oversight teams to resolve discrepancies before they escalate. You will translate complex policy language into clear procedural steps that colleagues can follow without constant supervision. Success in this position means that the moving process never stalls due to financial paperwork or budget confusion. You will be responsible for maintaining the audit trail that proves compliance and protects both the agency and the employee. Your work will directly impact the confidence that stakeholders have in the relocation program's reliability.
