Wrlgold is seeking a dedicated and skilled Miner 4 (Trucker) to join our dynamic team in Red Lake, Ontario. This position is integral to our mining operations, focusing on the transportation of materials within the mine site. What you'll do

Operate heavy-duty trucks and other mining vehicles to transport ore, waste, and materials within the mine site safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate the logistics of material movement, ensuring timely delivery to designated areas.
Monitor and report on the condition of vehicles and equipment, identifying any maintenance needs or issues that may arise.
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to mining operations and equipment handling.
Maintain accurate records of material transport activities, including quantities moved and any incidents that occur during operations.
Support the implementation of environmental practices and sustainability initiatives within the mining operations.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on operational processes and suggesting enhancements.
Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the operational demands of the mine.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy-duty trucks or similar vehicles in a mining or construction environment.
Valid Class AZ or equivalent driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong understanding of mining operations and safety protocols.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including underground environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

Experience with various types of mining equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, and excavators.
Certification in First Aid and CPR, as well as other relevant safety training.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and practices in the mining industry.

Skills & tools

Proficient in operating heavy machinery and trucks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment.
Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools to optimize transport routes.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Practical notes

This position may require working in challenging weather conditions and at varying altitudes.
Candidates should be prepared for a background check and drug testing as part of the hiring process.
