Technical Instructor

About the role

Workato is on the lookout for a dedicated Technical Instructor to become a vital part of our Education and Training team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading both virtual and in-person training sessions aimed at equipping our customers, partners, and internal teams with the skills they need to effectively utilize our platform. Your role will involve developing educational content that ensures participants acquire the necessary technical knowledge to excel with our integration and AI solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and create comprehensive training materials, including presentations, documentation, and hands-on lab exercises tailored to various learning styles.
• Deliver live training sessions through Workato Academy, focusing on critical areas such as platform configuration, integration techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with learning objectives.
• Conduct both virtual and in-person training sessions, adjusting your teaching approach to cater to participants with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Oversee the creation and ongoing maintenance of certification exams and assessments, ensuring they accurately reflect the latest product features and updates.
• Provide immediate technical assistance and troubleshooting support to participants during training sessions, enhancing their learning experience.
• Gather and incorporate feedback from participants, as well as updates on product features, to continuously improve training materials and keep them up-to-date.
• Monitor participant progress and engagement during training sessions, adapting content delivery as necessary to maximize learning outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and advancements in training methodologies.
• Foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages questions and discussions among participants.
• Assist in the development of new training programs and initiatives that align with the evolving needs of our customers and partners.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in technical instruction, training delivery, solutions engineering, consulting, or professional services within a Software as a Service (SaaS) or Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in the field.
• A solid technical background with hands-on experience using iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or comparable tools.
• Strong understanding of integration concepts, web services, APIs, and data transformation techniques.
• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex technical subjects for diverse audiences in English.
• Capability to independently troubleshoot technical issues while effectively managing a classroom environment.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications in iPaaS or related technology fields that demonstrate your expertise and commitment to professional growth.
• Experience in developing e-learning content or utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training delivery.
• Familiarity with instructional design principles and methodologies that enhance learning experiences.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, and Informatica.
• Knowledgeable in API and web service integration techniques.
• Experienced in data transformation processes and methodologies.
• Skilled in technical training and instructional design practices.
• Competent in classroom facilitation and public speaking, with a focus on engaging diverse audiences.
