About the role

As a Site Engineer specializing in residential projects, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction process from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure that all aspects of the project align with the initial vision and specifications. What you'll do

Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with architects and project managers to interpret and implement design specifications accurately.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any issues that may arise.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services required for the project.
Manage and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Implement best practices in construction management, focusing on efficiency and sustainability.
Train and mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on site progress and challenges.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct inspections and ensure that all work meets the required standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in site engineering, specifically within residential construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
Proven experience in project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Proficient in using construction management software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to have

Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
Experience with sustainable building practices and green certifications.
Knowledge of local construction laws and regulations specific to Greece.
Multilingual abilities, particularly in Greek and English, are a plus.
Previous experience working in a multicultural environment.

Skills & tools

Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
