We are seeking a senior engineer to join our Stream Processing team within the Data Squad. You will build and maintain the infrastructure that enables real-time money transfers, fraud detection, and anti-money laundering checks. In this capacity, you will own the design and execution of critical data pathways that power our financial platform. The role requires a proactive approach to solving complex streaming challenges while maintaining rigorous standards for reliability. You will collaborate closely with product and analytics teams to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions. What you'll do
- Architect, design, and operate systems hosted on AWS to support high-throughput data flows.
- Develop and manage pipelines for real-time decision-making processes that operate within millisecond latency.

Requirements
- You have professional experience with Flink or Kafka Streams in production environments.
- You have a background in developing production-grade software using Java and Spring frameworks.
- You bring experience in building and managing distributed systems that operate at scale.
- You demonstrate proficiency with infrastructure automation tools such as Kubernetes and related ecosystems.
- You are comfortable working with AWS services to deploy and operate streaming applications.
- You understand the principles of event-driven architecture and stream processing patterns.
- You have a strong grasp of data formats, serialization, and schema management in streaming pipelines.
- You are committed to writing clean, testable, and maintainable code that aligns with industry best practices.

The successful candidate will engage in full lifecycle ownership of streaming features, translating ambiguous requirements into technical specifications. The compensation package includes a starting salary range of 87,500 to 111,000 GBP, complemented by RSUs to align long-term contributions with company performance.
