We are currently looking for a Technical Lead Manager who will play a pivotal role in guiding a development team and shaping the architecture of our essential platform features. Key facts

What you'll do

• Lead a development team of around 10 engineers, managing day-to-day project activities, sprint planning, and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• Provide mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth while also overseeing the recruitment process for new hires.
• Architect and design solutions for medium to large-scale features that enhance our platform's capabilities.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and quality assurance professionals to establish and clarify project goals and requirements.
• Write, maintain, and document high-quality, scalable code, with a primary focus on using the Go programming language.
• Perform thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices regarding code quality, readability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and optimize existing ones, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our development processes and product offerings.
• Facilitate communication within the team and with other departments to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our services.
• Contribute to the establishment of best practices and standards within the engineering team to enhance productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in developing scalable backend services, demonstrating a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, C++, Java, or Kotlin, with a strong preference for Go.
• In-depth knowledge of database and messaging technologies, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Excellent command of the English language, with an upper-intermediate level or higher proficiency.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects, with a focus on agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, and experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and their implementation in development workflows.
• Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry would be advantageous.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its application in software development.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Go, Ruby, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Thrift, Redis, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
