About the role

You will design and refine language tasks that feed high quality data into AI training pipelines. You partner with global customers to translate requirements into clear evaluation criteria and risk assessments. You analyze model outputs to identify root causes of failure and define repeatable fixes that close the loop. You improve data systems and guidelines so that future runs require less rework. You communicate results to partners and stakeholders while maintaining strict standards for accuracy and cultural relevance.

What you'll do

• Conduct risk assessments for language data tasks, identifying potential bias, safety, and cultural sensitivity issues before execution.
• Translate and adapt evaluation guidelines and instructions into Simplified Chinese, ensuring clarity and cultural appropriateness for local contributors.
• Perform detailed output evaluations of AI generated language, comparing responses against criteria and documenting concrete root causes for errors.
• Create and maintain reusable templates for prompts, evaluation checklists, and annotation rules that reduce ambiguity and support consistent results.
• Close the loop by feeding evaluation findings back into model training and data collection workflows, tracking issues to resolution.
• Coordinate with global engineering and product partners to align data requirements, timelines, and acceptance criteria across regions.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and quality metrics to stakeholders using clear, structured reports in Chinese.
• Maintain and update task documentation, versioned guidelines, and process notes to keep teams aligned and reduce training time for new contributors.
• Support continuous improvement by proposing process changes that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and strengthen data quality over time.
• Contribute to a global community of language specialists by sharing best practices and helping onboard and mentor new contributors remotely.

Requirements

• Native or near native Simplified Chinese language proficiency.
• Ability to work from China, Canada, United States, or Malaysia.
• Strong attention to detail and natural curiosity about language and meaning.
• Capacity to understand technical instructions and translate them into practical task steps.
• Willingness to follow documented processes and adhere to strict quality standards.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in AI data annotation, evaluation, or prompt design.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and asynchronous workflows.
• Comfort working with diverse cultural contexts and global teams.

Engineering methods

• Apply structured task design, clear guideline versioning, and systematic evaluation protocols to control quality.
• Use standard productivity tools for documentation, communication, and tracking within global workflows.

Relevant systems

• Contribute to language data platforms and AI evaluation systems that underpin large scale model training and testing.

Practical notes

• This role requires residence in one of the specified countries and reliable internet connectivity for remote work.
• All tasks are designed to be performed remotely with flexible scheduling.
