What you'll do

Perform Quality Control of translations into English for pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical content with a sharp eye for detail.

Leverage your experience with clinical and regulatory documents such as medical reports, protocols, synopses, ICF, discharge and study reports, SmPC, PIL, medical literature, linguistic validation, SAE/AE, PSURs, SUSARs, ICSRs, DSUR, and RMP to assess accuracy and completeness.

Utilize CAT tools such as XTM preferred, and run systematic QC checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.

Validate formatting, numbers, dates, units, terminology, and strict adherence to instructions to prevent any deviation from source meaning.

Support processing of non-editable and handwritten sources, and perform formatting QC after conversion to ensure final deliverables are clean and professional.

Self-assign work according to your availability via Open Offers and meet urgent TATs that typically range from 12 to 24 hours without delay.

Handle high volume split across multiple small files while documenting discrepancies and reporting them promptly for resolution.

Cross-collaborate with Project Managers to escalate risks promptly and maintain alignment on priorities, timelines, and quality expectations.

Apply QA tools such as Xbench, Verifika, or CAT-integrated QA to detect errors, inconsistencies, and potential issues before final delivery.

Use Track Changes function in Word effectively to provide clear, traceable edits and comments that facilitate review and approval.

Maintain strict confidentiality and data security when handling sensitive pharmacovigilance and regulatory information on a daily basis.

Demonstrate reliability by meeting deadlines, managing workload efficiently, and communicating proactively when challenges arise.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QC processes by providing feedback and suggesting practical enhancements based on real-world experience.

Participate in the completion of the QC test and follow staged onboarding to ensure full integration into the team and compliance with Welo standards.

Remain flexible and willing to work occasional weekends and bank holidays to support business needs and maintain service levels.

Requirements

Mandatory experience with CAT tools including XTM, Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or other similar platforms is essential for this role.

Experience with QA checks using tools such as Xbench, Verifika, or CAT-integrated QA is required to ensure linguistic and technical accuracy.

Proficiency in using the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word is mandatory for documenting edits and maintaining clarity.

Minimum of 6 months as a Language QA specialist in localization is required to demonstrate practical competence in the field.

Advanced English level, minimum C1, is necessary to perform high-quality reviews and understand complex source materials.

Availability of 4 to 5 hours per day is required to align with operational windows and support global client needs.

Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays is mandatory to meet urgent demands and maintain service continuity.

Ability to meet urgent TATs of 12 to 24 hours consistently and manage multiple small files under pressure is essential.

Capacity to complete the QC test successfully and follow staged onboarding procedures is a strict requirement for employment.

Prior experience in a similar QC role within a Language Service Provider (LSP) is a strong plus and highly valued during selection.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to verifying translations, formatting, and terminology usage at every stage.

Reliability in communication, task execution, and collaboration with project managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
