You will own the end-to-end automation of movie and TV metadata workflows, transforming how our content operations function on a daily basis. This role requires you to immerse yourself in the intricate details of film and television data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across every dataset you touch. You will act as a bridge between creative content teams and technical implementation, translating complex operational needs into streamlined automated processes. Starting as a hands-on project specialist, you will rapidly learn our specific workflows before designing and deploying automation that reduces manual effort and human error. Collaboration will be central to your success, as you partner closely with Project Managers and program leadership to align technical deliverables with strategic goals. Investigate existing metadata pipelines to map current manual steps and identify high-impact areas for automation.

Design and develop scripts that validate, clean, and enrich movie and TV metadata with precision and speed.

Construct automated testing frameworks to ensure data integrity before any content moves to production environments.

Implement AI-assisted tagging systems that improve content discoverability and classification accuracy.

Create detailed technical documentation for every automation workflow you build for future maintenance and scaling.

Monitor system performance metrics to detect anomalies and optimize automated processes continuously.

Integrate third-party data sources and APIs to expand the richness of our core content databases.

Lead small-scale automation initiatives that demonstrate clear time savings and error reduction for the team.

Collaborate with data analysts to visualize workflow improvements and track the success of implemented solutions.

Mentor junior team members on best practices for automation and data handling within our specific operational context.

Experiment with emerging automation tools to determine how they can be adapted to our unique content management challenges.

Requirements

You must possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.

You need to have at least two years of proven experience in automation, scripting, or data engineering roles.

You should demonstrate a strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.

You must have experience working with APIs, web services, and structured data formats like JSON and XML.

You require a solid understanding of database concepts and the ability to write complex queries for data manipulation.

You need to show a proven track record of debugging complex systems and resolving technical issues efficiently.

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift based on project demands.

You need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks is a distinct advantage for this role.

Familiarity with media and entertainment industry standards for metadata is highly valued.

Practical notes

Working Hours: 10:00-18:30 CDT (40 hours/ week)* Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday shift
