What you'll do

• Oversee the daily operations of card issuance, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications and renewals.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of card products, from conception through to launch and ongoing management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and customer service, to streamline card operations and enhance the customer journey.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and maintain compliance with local and international regulations.
• Monitor card transaction activities, identifying and resolving issues related to fraud, disputes, and operational discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits of card operations processes to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to provide insights into card operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners and vendors related to card services, fostering strong relationships to enhance service delivery.
• Train and mentor junior staff within the Card Operations team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting card operations, ensuring that WeLab Bank remains compliant and competitive.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align card operations with the overall business strategy and customer needs.
• Assist in the development of marketing strategies for card products, collaborating with the marketing team to drive customer engagement and acquisition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in card operations or a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of card payment systems, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in managing operational processes and leading projects to successful completion.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
