What you'll do
- Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities that align with Waymo's strategic goals, focusing on enhancing our product offerings and market presence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, government agencies, and technology partners, to foster collaboration and drive mutual growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, to create compelling partnership proposals that highlight the benefits of working with Waymo.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential partners, ensuring that agreements are beneficial and aligned with Waymo's objectives.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Create and present reports on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management on how to optimize existing relationships and pursue new ones.
- Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Waymo's vision and explore potential collaborations.
- Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to mitigate risks associated with partnership agreements.
- Develop and implement strategies for co-marketing initiatives with partners to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
- Facilitate internal communication and alignment regarding partnership goals and progress, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
- Act as a subject matter expert on partnerships within the autonomous vehicle industry, providing guidance and insights to team members and leadership.
- Continuously seek feedback from partners and internal teams to refine partnership strategies and improve overall effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership development, business development, or a related role, preferably within the technology or automotive sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the autonomous vehicle industry and emerging technologies is a plus.
