What you'll do

• Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained and ready for deployment according to established protocols.
• Develop and implement strategies for fleet management that optimize vehicle uptime and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues affecting fleet performance, ensuring timely updates and repairs.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Lead a team of technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness.
• Coordinate with safety and compliance teams to ensure that all fleet operations adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and equipment necessary for fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare and present regular reports on fleet readiness, performance metrics, and operational challenges to senior management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative solutions within fleet operations.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to enhance fleet capabilities and explore new technologies.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align fleet operations with the overall goals of the organization.
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding fleet readiness and operational inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, operations, or a similar role, preferably within the automotive or technology sectors.
• Proven track record of managing a team and leading cross-functional projects to successful completion.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Experience with autonomous vehicles or advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
