You are a passionate, solutions-oriented, SDLC-driven (mid-level) Software Engineer with a focus on front-end development, who has demonstrable professional experience in tech in an agile setup and is up for a challenge. You own the end-to-end implementation of secure front-facing features, translating complex requirements into robust user interfaces that align with cloud security service objectives. You own the design logic within Angular components, ensuring that TypeScript implementations adhere to strict security and performance standards. You own the creation and maintenance of high-quality code, writing unit tests and participating actively in test-driven design to validate functionality before release. You own clear communication within globally distributed agile teams, providing status updates and escalating blockers while respecting asynchronous workflows across cultures. You own the monitoring of deployed features, using feedback to iterate quickly and improve reliability, observability, and user satisfaction. What you'll do
Investigate and resolve complex user interface issues by dissecting requirements and implementing resilient front-end solutions in Angular.
Architect new features using TypeScript, ensuring strict type safety, modular design, and alignment with microservices communication patterns.
Develop and refine CSS architectures to create responsive, accessible, and consistent user experiences across different devices and browsers.
Collaborate closely with product owners and security domain experts to clarify specifications and translate business needs into technical tasks in JIRA.
Implement test-driven development practices, writing unit tests and maintaining code coverage to reduce regressions and increase confidence in deployments.
Perform detailed code reviews focused on security, performance, and maintainability, providing constructive feedback to peers during pull request evaluations.
Integrate with back-end APIs and third-party services, leveraging Python or Java knowledge when interacting with service layers and data models.
Maintain documentation in Confluence, capturing design decisions, component contracts, and operational runbooks for future reference and onboarding.
Monitor production behavior using observability tools, correlating logs and metrics to diagnose issues and drive improvements in reliability.
Champion secure coding practices, ensuring that all implemented features comply with compliance requirements and vulnerability management processes.
Continuously optimize application performance, reducing load times and enhancing interactivity to support WatchGuard's high standards of cloud security services.
Promote a culture of innovation by proposing improvements to workflows, tooling, and architecture that increase efficiency and support long-term scalability.
Requirements
Demonstrate professional software engineering experience in a tech environment, with a strong background in agile methodologies and team collaboration.
Showcase solid command over programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns relevant to front-end and back-end integration.
Prove hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as TypeScript, CSS, and Angular as the primary framework for building user interfaces.
Have practical knowledge of at least one additional programming language such as Python or Java to effectively interface with services and understand system-wide impacts.
Be comfortable working with JIRA for task tracking, Confluence for documentation, and Test-Driven Design principles to ensure quality at every stage.
Exhibit strong discipline in writing unit tests, maintaining code coverage, and staying up to date with open-source components and their vulnerabilities.
Commit to secure coding practices, monitoring focused strategies, and performance-oriented development for cloud-managed security services.
