What you'll do
Supervise interdisciplinary team members, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, and Medical Assistants to ensure cohesive care delivery.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to define and influence the future trajectory of clinical service lines.
Lead and contribute to initiatives designed to enhance clinical quality, operational efficiency, and the introduction of new care programs.
Identify, analyze, and resolve clinical workflow bottlenecks that hinder care quality or disrupt operational outcomes.
Ensure optimal patient care coverage across all shifts and care settings to meet demand and regulatory standards.
Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and conduct annual performance reviews to foster professional growth.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professionals to refine care plans and implement sustainable process improvements.
Provide leadership in conflict resolution, mentoring, time management, and adaptive decision-making under complex circumstances.
Deliver direct patient care when necessary to model best practices and support urgent organizational priorities.
Develop and oversee the onboarding process for newly hired clinical staff, including RNs, social workers, providers, and medical assistants.
Ensure strict regulatory compliance regarding state license renewals, certification verifications, and credentialing requirements.
Travel up to 25% of the time for training sessions, strategic meetings, and other essential business activities as required.
Requirements
You must be willing and able to maintain a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Pacific Time, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.
You must possess an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license and have the capability to obtain California licensure within six months of hire.
You must demonstrate the ability to acquire and maintain additional state licenses as dictated by service requirements.
You must have accumulated at least two years of people management experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
You must bring a minimum of five years of direct care delivery experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two of those years focused in palliative care, hospice care, or complex care management.
You must have a strong, proven understanding of cultural competency specific to the target patient population.
You must be a results-driven leader with demonstrable experience managing change in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
You must exhibit strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
You must excel in communication, motivation, and conflict resolution techniques when interacting with teams and stakeholders.
You must have prior remote work experience and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications, with Salesforce experience being a significant advantage.
Nice to have
CHPN certification is a preferred qualification for this role.
Practical notes
This position is remote with up to 25% travel required within the United States for training, meetings, and business needs. Candidates must be physically located in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington. There is a preference for applicants based in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones. The work schedule requires availability Monday through Friday during Pacific Time hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
