About the role
You will administer and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, overseeing user lifecycle, licensing, and service health to ensure operational continuity. You will manage endpoint configuration and compliance policies through Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM) to enforce security and device standards across the enterprise. You will administer Okta for identity and access management, including SSO and MFA policy enforcement, ensuring secure and seamless user access. You will maintain and optimize Windows Server and Linux Server environments, applying patches, configurations, and performance tuning. You will support and administer virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V to deliver resilient and scalable infrastructure services. You will monitor, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure components, including Fortinet firewalls, switches, and VPNs, to sustain robust connectivity and security. You will manage Active Directory structures, including group policies, OU design, user and computer accounts, and trust relationships. You will write and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency. You will document systems, procedures, and configurations, maintaining up-to-date runbooks and operational knowledge bases. You will respond to and resolve escalated support tickets and participate in on-call rotation to provide timely resolution of critical incidents.

What you'll do

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate infrastructure changes and support organizational objectives.
- Implement and support identity and access controls to safeguard critical systems and data assets.
- Perform routine system health checks, apply updates, and execute preventive maintenance to reduce risk of outages.
- Assist in maintaining high availability and disaster recovery objectives for critical infrastructure components.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required upon hire.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a systems administration or IT infrastructure role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, policy management, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Defender).
- Experience administering Okta or a comparable identity provider.
- Solid Azure administration skills including Entra ID, resource management, and monitoring.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet products including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, and FortiClient VPN.
- Networking fundamentals encompassing TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and VPN.
- Active Directory administration including GPO, LDAP, DNS integration, and user/group management.
- Windows Server administration across versions 2016, 2019, and 2022 covering roles, features, patching, and hardening.
- Linux server administration for distributions such as Ubuntu, RHEL, and CentOS, including package management, services, logging, and security.
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to develop automation and tooling solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work onsite in Long Beach, CA, as required by the role.
- Capacity to balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with longer-term infrastructure initiatives.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to escalated support tickets as needed.
- Commitment to adhering to company policies, standards, and security protocols at all times.

Nice to have
- Experience with PKI and certificate lifecycle management using internal CA or third-party providers.
- Domain management capabilities including DNS registrar administration, zone management, and domain transfers.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Relevant certifications including AZ-104, MS-102, Okta Certified Administrator, NSE 4+, or MCSA/MCSE.

- The listed good faith base salary range is $170,000.00 to $200,000.00 at the time of posting, dependent on experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive components. The range may be adjusted in the future.
