Gaming Data Scientist
Job description
About the role
The role centers on owning the A/B testing cycle for games and game parameters, where you will design experiments, validate changes, and read out results that drive core KPIs such as engagement, RTP, rake, fairness, and retention. You will analyze and calibrate game parameters including difficulty, scoring, completion rates, seed selection, and payout structures to hit target player experience and economic goals while maintaining balance. A key part of the role is translating complex analyses into clear actionable recommendations that directly shape game design and the broader product roadmap. You will build simulations and prototypes to pressure-test parameter and economy changes before rollout, then monitor live performance once changes are shipped to ensure they meet expectations. Collaboration with game designers and engineers is central, as you embed data-driven decisions across the full game lifecycle from concept to live operations. You will also build and maintain dashboards and reports that align the Gaming and Data teams on critical game and economy metrics, ensuring transparency and shared understanding. This position requires a player-first mindset with deep curiosity about games, player behavior, and game balance, driving decisions that enhance both fun and fairness.
