In this position, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities by actively engaging with targeted nonprofit entities. Your efforts will directly contribute to our overarching mission of fostering global generosity by broadening our outreach to various charitable organizations. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding these organizations through our platform's capabilities and demonstrating how our tools can enhance their donor engagement strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to uncovering latent needs within the nonprofit community and translating them into actionable solutions. You will be the primary point of contact that shapes the initial perception of our brand and value proposition. Your daily work will involve meticulous research and personalized outreach to ensure that every interaction adds tangible value for the prospect. Ultimately, you will help build a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities that fuels the growth and impact of our mission-driven clients.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve weekly and monthly activity benchmarks, including making over 100 calls, sending 150+ emails, and scheduling 25+ meetings.
- Identify key accounts for marketing initiatives such as webinars and conferences to enhance outreach.
- Promote field marketing events to your assigned accounts and monitor their engagement levels.
- Participate in relevant trade shows, events, and conferences, which may require occasional travel.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or marketing, ideally within the nonprofit sector or targeting nonprofit organizations.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships and maintain a positive, enthusiastic demeanor.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM is essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
- A solid understanding of CRM functionalities and donor relationship management principles.
- Familiarity with the nonprofit landscape and fundraising methodologies is preferred.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, focusing on account research and outreach through various channels.
- An outgoing personality with a track record of quickly establishing rapport with clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset are crucial.

What you'll do
Your primary responsibility will be to generate and develop new business opportunities within the nonprofit sector by engaging directly with mission-driven organizations. You will execute a high volume of outreach activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling, all while maintaining strict adherence to activity metrics. A core part of your daily routine will involve using HubSpot CRM to log interactions, update deal stages, and maintain accurate pipeline data. You will conduct discovery calls to understand the unique fundraising challenges and growth objectives of each nonprofit, positioning Virtuous as the ideal solution. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to identify and target key accounts for upcoming campaigns, webinars, and industry events. You will be expected to represent Virtuous at trade shows and conferences, securing appointments and building awareness. By managing a robust pipeline and providing detailed feedback, you will ensure that the sales team has a steady flow of qualified leads. Your work will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base in the nonprofit space.
