About the role
You will join the Sales Strategy and Operations team to drive the operational framework and strategic initiatives that power the Verkada sales organization from our New York City hub. In this role, you will act as a key partner to leadership, translating complex data into actionable plans that improve efficiency and bookings growth across the board. You will own the development of regional strategies and daily operations specifically for the Northeast sales leadership, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. This position requires you to identify bottlenecks in the sales process and implement targeted improvements or manage automation projects in close collaboration with engineering teams. You will be responsible for building analytical tools and leading special projects that provide deep insights into business performance, directly driving data-informed decision-making. Furthermore, you will serve as the critical bridge between the sales team and other essential departments like marketing, finance, product, and supply chain to streamline initiatives. You will structure and document all workflows to guarantee consistency, scalability, and repeatability across the entire division. Finally, this role demands a proactive mindset to navigate ambiguity and turn high-level business goals into concrete, executable plans.

What you'll do
- Partner with Northeast sales leadership to dissect current performance metrics and co-develop a robust regional strategy alongside daily operational rhythms.
- Conduct deep diagnostic assessments of the existing sales process to pinpoint specific bottlenecks and orchestrate the implementation of corrective improvements.
- Assume ownership of automation project lifecycles, working hand-in-hand with engineering teams to design solutions that enhance sales productivity.
- Architect and construct a suite of analytical tools, taking the lead on special projects that generate actionable insights into complex business performance indicators.
- Act as the central liaison, facilitating seamless communication and alignment between the sales organization and cross-functional departments such as marketing, finance, product, and supply chain.
- Author comprehensive documentation for workflows and standard operating procedures to ensure division-wide consistency and enable future scalability.
- Translate high-level corporate directives into detailed operational plans that are clearly understood and easily executed by the sales team.
- Monitor key performance indicators in real time, adjusting tactics and providing rapid feedback to leadership based on empirical evidence.
- Leverage advanced analytical methodologies to forecast trends, uncover hidden opportunities, and mitigate potential risks within the sales pipeline.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence by instilling rigorous data standards and best practices across all sales operations.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience from demanding fields such as consulting, banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or fast-paced startups.
- Possess a Bachelor's or master's degree earned from a top-tier institution that demonstrates academic excellence.
- Show a proven capacity to successfully manage intricate cross-functional projects while exerting influence over senior leadership stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities with a very high proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data modeling.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive comfortably in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where multiple priorities compete for attention.
- Confirm the capability to work onsite in New York City, NY, consistently five days per week to ensure full integration with the team.
- Display strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive company information and strategic initiatives.
- Exhibit ownership and accountability for delivering results in a dynamic and constantly changing sales landscape.

- Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, or Looker to build and query data visualizations independently.
- Prior experience administering or utilizing Salesforce to manage sales pipelines and CRM data.
